The teams who will play in the Inspired Arena Test Match at the All England Polo Club at Hickstead have been announced.
England and Ireland will battle it out for honours in the Bryan Morrison Trophy, the annual International Test Match that forms one of the highlights of the Arena Polo season. This year's fixture takes place on Saturday 5 March.
Captaining England will be Tom Morley (7), who will be joined by Jack Hyde (6) and James Mann (4), while Ireland will be led by Ryan Pemble (7) and supported by Niall Donnelly (5) and Max Hutchinson (5).
It will be the first time England has played Ireland at Hickstead since 2015, when the home side won by 18-13.
“We are very much looking forward to watching these two closely-matched teams in action on Saturday 5 March,” said AEPC Chairman John Bunn. “Last time the two teams met here at Hickstead it was Team England who were victorious, and it will be fascinating to see if they can ride out the winners once again or if Ireland are going to be the ones to lift this important trophy.”
The opening match of the day will be an HPA Colts Under-19s game, featuring six selected junior players. Spectators are guaranteed two thrilling games of polo for just £5 per ticket, offering exceptional value for money. Parking is free of charge, and the polo clubhouse will be open all day selling drinks and refreshments.
There is also a post-match luncheon for players and supporters, to be held in the Beethoven Suite – which overlooks Hickstead’s iconic International Arena. Tickets are £52.50 each, which includes admission.
Tickets are available here, while lunch tickets can be booked here.
