Cross Country Schooling

Our purpose-built all-weather cross-country course offers fences from 60cm through to Advanced. Designed by experienced course builders and maintained to the highest standard, the course includes:

  • Two large all-weather schooling arenas

  • Water complex with steps

  • Permanent banks and ditches

  • Clearly colour-coded fence heights (60cm - 110cm & Advanced)

  • Safe, well-maintained footing in all weather

  • Up to 8 horses per 1 hour

Whether you're introducing a young horse to cross country or preparing for competition, Hickstead provides the ideal training environment.

Showjumping Arena Hire

Hire our international-standard show jumping arena and warm-up facilities for private schooling for £60 per hour.

Features include:

  • 70m × 50m arena

  • 20m × 50m warm-up arena

  • Wooden poles, water trays and combinations

  • Course designed by FEI Course Builder Ben Townley

  • Up to 6 horses per booking

Perfect for competition preparation, clinics or private training sessions. Open Wednesday - Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday. Open times are restricted by daylight hours. Sessions start and finish on the half hour e.g 11:30 - 12:30.
