What day should I attend?

There is non-stop action for all five days of the show, with a total of six rings running throughout the event. You can buy a weekly ticket or annual membership, or just choose which day you want to attend - concessions are available. Tickets can be purchased online with advanced discounts and free admission for under-15's when booked in advance - thereafter entry will be £14. You can also buy tickets at the gate, however we advise that you pre-purchase to reduce queuing time on arrival.

Please note, on Tuesday, we have national competition in the outer rings only - admission is free on this day, but the showground/shopping village is not fully operational.

Ladies' Day

Hickstead's Ladies' Day, held on the Saturday of the Agria Royal International Horse Show, has become firmly established as one of the highlights of the Sussex social calendar. There are some amazing prizes up for grabs for our best-dressed guests.

Family entertainment

The Village Green is a new entertainment area, with shopping, garden games and live performances including magic shows and choir acts, from a variety of local talents. Located in the heart of the showground, it is the perfect hub for families to gather.

How to find us

Hickstead can be easily accessed by a number of different transport methods such as by car, train or coach. For more detailed information on how to find us, and for local taxi numbers, please follow this link

A map of the showground can be found here.

For those using sat nav, the postcode for spectator entrance is BN6 9NS.

Parking

Standard parking costs £15 per car.

Ringside picnic parking positions are available overlooking the International Arena. It's the perfect place to take a group of friends, pack a picnic (and a bottle of champagne or two) and enjoy a fun day out, with your own dedicated picnic spot for the entire day.

Timings

The start time of the action in the International Arena differs daily, but the gates are open from 8am every day for the general public. The classes end between 5pm and 6pm each day.

Where to eat

Picnics are allowed on the showground, although don't forget that we have a host of restaurants, bars and catering units including street food pop-ups to choose from. We also have the Members' Restaurant and the Clubhouse Bar and Grill on offer.

Members

Dress code is smart casual within the Members’ Restaurant and Private Viewing Boxes. Daily Members' Enclosure tickets are available and can be bought both online and on-site. General Admission tickets can also be upgraded, although our Members' Enclosure does sell out on our busiest days.

Dogs

We are a dog-friendly event, but dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, largely for their own safety. We respectfully ask you to help us keep our showground clean, and clean up after your dog. It is forbidden to leave dogs in cars, and if we see any dogs in distress we will take action.

Shopping

We have a great range of exhibitors to meet all your equestrian and lifestyle needs. If you are a seasoned shopper and intend to spend the entire day seeking out excellent show discounts and special offers, or if you are merely looking for a souvenir of your day out, we have something to suit your tastes.

Hickstead official clothing

The range from our official merchandiser Outlanda Apparel contains everything a Hickstead fan might want. You can browse the range at the Hickstead Merchandise stand, located by the rider's funnel into the International Arena. They also offer same day personalisation!

Mobility scooters

Advanced Mobility Event Scooter Hire will be providing electric scooters and manual wheelchairs for the use of disabled, elderly and mobility impaired visitors to the show. BOOK HERE
