Youtube sensation Harlow White scored her biggest career win to date at the Longines Royal International Horse Show on Wednesday.
The 11-year-old took the BSPS Heritage Mountain & Moorland Supreme Mini Championship on her mother Chelseas's Dartmoor pony Coppinshill Commemoration. "I went into that ring with no expectations at all – I just wanted to get round, have fun, and do the best we could," said Harlow, who won the Heritage First Ridden class to qualify for the championship.
“I just can’t explain how I feel right now – Rolo just deserves the whole world,” added Harlow, who had a nervous wait while the officials called out the final placings in reverse order. “He’s so well-behaved, but to be honest, I didn’t think I’d come first – when they read out second place, I thought, ‘well, I’ve got no chance now!’ But never say never, because dreams do come true."
Harlow made the trip from her home in Poole to the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead to compete at the show for the first time. The young star, who has 180,000 followers on Instagram, 397,000 subscribers on YouTube, and her own range of clothing, had a very busy day at the show - as well as competing in two showing classes, she also did a series of meet-and-greets and signings at the PONY magazine stand and the Aztec Diamond stand.
Coppinshill Commemoration, who is known to his legion of fans as Rolo, is a nine-year old by Springwater Happy Day out of Shilstone Rocks Another Beach.
